Volusia County deputies on the lookout for armed robbery suspect who pistol-whipped clerk

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies in Volusia County are searching for a suspect who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint over the weekend.

The robbery happened just after 4 a.m. on Saturday at the Circle K on Dirksen Road in Debary.

Deputies said the suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money.

According to a news release, the store clerk emptied the register and gave the money to the suspect.

Deputies said the suspect then hit the clerk in the leg with the gun before running from the store.

Deputies said the suspect had his face and head covered but is a male with a medium build.
