Volusia County man accused of drugging, raping woman after luring her with job interview denied bond

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The man accused of drugging and raping a woman who was looking for work will not be getting out of jail, a judge ruled Friday.

A Volusia County judge ruled that accused rapist Jason Minton will not be granted bond on his charge of kidnapping.

Since the first woman came forward accusing Minton of drugging, kidnapping and raping her, deputies said more than a half dozen women have come forward saying he also targeted them.

So far, deputies said a battery charge has been filed in one of those cases after a woman said Minton groped her against her will.
