WATCH: Volusia County firefighters, deputies rescue steer stuck in hole filled with muddy water

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters and deputies in Volusia County teamed up to rescue a steer that was trapped in a large hole that was filling with rainwater.

Deputies said they were called to a pasture in the Barberville area on Sunday for an animal in distress.

When first responders arrived, they found a large steer that was stuck in muddy water up to its neck with limited room to move around.

After working with ropes and a fire house they were able to rescue the animal.
