WATCH: Polk County deputy killed in line of duty laid to rest

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A Polk County deputy who was shot and killed one week ago while in the line was being laid to rest Tuesday morning.

Deputy Blane Lane, 21, died Oct. 4 when a bullet from one of his fellow deputies struck him while they were serving a warrant.

Lane joined the force two years ago.

His memorial service was held at Victory Church on Griffin Road in Lakeland. You can watch the service below.
