Police released body camera video showing a standoff in the hospital between them and Gilland that ensued after the deadly shooting. See the video here.

Records said Gilland eventually put down the gun after firing a shot into the ceiling following a flash bang grenade that police used to distract her. Investigators also said Gilland had multiple rounds of ammunition with her in the hospital and more in her car.

“She’s the person who purchased the ammunition, she’s the person who admitted to it and described the actual act and she’s the person who pointed at and shot the gun after the death of the decedent,” Judge Karen Foxman said.
