At the scene, they found that a Volvo SUV had collided with a pedestrian on the eastbound side of SR 520.

Investigators determined that a woman was standing in the outside lane when she was hit by a Volvo SUV.

Troopers said the woman, who died at the scene, was involved in a separate crash nearby a short time earlier.

She was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe, traveling westbound along SR 520, when she apparently lost control; her Tahoe overturned and came to rest on the outside shoulder of the roadway, FHP said.

Crash investigators think she then exited the Tahoe and walked into the eastbound lane, where she was struck and killed by the Volvo SUV.

FHP did not identify the pedestrian, but said she was 33 years old and lived in Orlando.

The driver of the Volvo, 68, of Satellite Beach, was not hurt, according to troopers.
