ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Surveillance video won't be any help to investigators looking for the gunman who stormed into a pizza restaurant in Orange County.
The Little Caesars pizza shop on Lee Road near I-4 (see map) was held up overnight and the gunman locked some employees in the freezer.
Late Tuesday morning, investigators said the video from the store is of no value as evidence; apparently it shows nothing.
Detectives looked at the recording Tuesday morning, hoping it would provide some images of the person who robbed the takeout restaurant at gunpoint and then forced the employees into a cooler before leaving with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators say the man forced the manager to open the safe at the store.
Deputies put on quite a search by air and by ground with dogs, but so far there are no good leads as to the robber's identity or where he fled to.
WFTV asked a manager at the pizza shop for comment. They said they're not discussing the crime or the videotape. They did say that no employees were injured.
