LAKE MARY, Fla. — A Lake Mary High School teacher is facing charges after Seminole County Sheriff's deputies say Marc Duphinais squeezed a female student's buttocks and made inappropriate sexual comments to her.
The incident allegedly happened on the morning of September 8th at the high school in Duphinais' classroom.
The victim told investigators she went to the classroom to ask Dauphinais if he would help her with an upcoming school event. The victim said that Dauphinais told her she was beautiful, that she looked "hot", and that she had a "nice ass". He's also accused of telling the victim "you look really hot, it gets me excited." and saying it was too bad she wasn't 18 years old. The victim also said when she was leaving the classroom the teacher grabbed her buttocks with his hand.
The victim said because the incident happened in-between classes, she and Dauphinais were the only ones in the classroom.
Investigators told WFTV Dauphinais admitted to the accusations while being questioned.
Deputies arrested Dauphinais Wednesday on charges of battery, and was taken to jail on a $500 bond. He bonded out of jail the same day.
