VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Fire officials are working to contain a wildfire in Volusia County that’s affecting traffic on Interstate 4 and other nearby roads.
According to the Florida Florida Service’s Bunnell district, the fire has grown to cover nearly 40 acres and is around 75 percent contained.

It’s located on Old Sawmill Road in DeLand near State Road 44, just east of the interstate.
Forest Service officials have bulldozers on the ground and a helicopter in the air dropping water on the fire as they work to contain it further.
The Florida Highway Patrol is urging drivers to use caution due to the smoke in the area.

The Forestry Service says smoke is also impacting traffic on Kepler Road and State Road 92 in Volusia County.
They’re also urging drivers in the area to use extra caution or find a different route entirely.
