Ryan Lochte will welcome his first child in 2017.
The Olympic athlete posted a photo on social media Wednesday announcing the news.

"My Christmas gift came early this year, can't wait for next year," Lochte wrote. "Best news I've ever received."
Lochte said that he is "excited" and on "Cloud 9."
Lochte's fiance, Kayla Rae Reid, shared a similar photo on Instagram.
"Just when you think you think you have it all figured out, life always surprises you with blessings when least expect it," she wrote.

The 32-year-old "Dancing with the Stars" contestant

, Lochte and Reid have been dating since January. They met at Bootsy Bellows, a nightclub in Hollywood, California, where the two crossed paths in the VIP section,
