According to the TV station, the wounded teenager, also a boy, was shot in the shoulder and listed in stable condition.

The shooting occurred at around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, and both shooting victims were 15, PennLive.com reported.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument near the popular event’s ticket booth, where an unidentified male suspect, believed to be between the ages of 15 and 17 and roughly 6 feet tall, fired three or four shots, the news outlet reported.

According to WPXI, Eason attended the hayride’s opening night with a group of friends, all of whom witnessed the second victim, described as a casual acquaintance, argue with the shooting suspect, who opened fire as the small group attempted to intervene.

Police told the TV station that between 50 and 100 people were in the immediate area when the shooting started, creating a frenzied scene.

“When the shooting occurred, half the people ran toward the parking lot, half ran towards the trail. It was chaotic, but the staff tried to get people out of the area,” Lt. Venerando Costa of the Allegheny County Police Department told WPXI.
