15 friends test positive for coronavirus after visiting Florida bar

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A group of 15 friends has tested positive for the coronavirus after visiting a Florida bar on June 6, a woman in the group named Erika Krisp told WJAX-TV.

Dara Sweatt, a member of the group, said she received her positive test results on Sunday, WJAX-TV reported.

Lynch’s management told WJAX-TV seven of 49 employees have tested positive for the virus as well.

Management said all of the cases in employees were asymptomatic and went on to say employees cannot return to work until after a undergoing a two-week quarantine and obtaining proof of testing negative for COVID-19.

At least six Jacksonville Beach establishments were closed Monday for cleaning, including Tavern, The Wreck, Lynch’s Irish Pub, The Wine Bar, Mellow Mushroom and Graffiti Burger.

Lynch’s Irish Pub reopened Wednesday following a professional cleaning.
