Adult film star Ron Jeremy accused of raping 3 women, sexually assaulting another

LOS ANGELES — Officials in Los Angeles announced Tuesday that charges have been filed against adult film star Ron Jeremy, who is accused of raping three women and sexually assaulting another in separate incidents over the course of five years.

Jeremy, whose real name is Ronald Jeremy Hyatt, is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors plan to ask a judge to hold Jeremy, 67, on a bail of $6.6 million.

District Attorney Jackie Lacey said in a statement Tuesday that Jeremy is suspected in assaults dating to 2014. He’s been charged with three counts each of forcible rape and forcible penetration by a foreign object and one count each of forcible oral copulation and sexual battery.

Lacey said Jeremy is suspected of raping a 25-year-old woman in May 2014. Three years later, authorities believe Jeremy sexually assaulted two more women, a 33-year-old and a 46-year-old, in separate occasions at a bar in West Hollywood. Officials said Jeremy also allegedly raped a 30-year-old woman at the same bar two years later in July 2019.

Lacey said authorities also investigated an allegation involving Jeremy from 2016, although her office declined to pursue the case due to a lack of evidence.

Authorities continue to investigate.
