MOBILE, Ala. — An Alabama man is accused of burning his girlfriend with a frying pan and attempting to choke her, authorities said.
Shedrick Delano Sylvester Sr., 39, of Mobile, was charged with third-degree domestic violence, according to online jail records.
According to authorities, police in Mobile responded to a domestic violence call at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, WKRG reported. The woman at the residence told officers that Sylvester had burned her with the pan and had choked her. Investigators said the woman had visible signs of burns and bruises to her body, the television station reported.

Shedrick was arrested and booked into the Mobile Metro County Jail at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, according to online jail records.
