WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington, D.C. School District ethics board is investigating a former assistant principal who is accused of working for both the D.C. school district and a Rhode Island school at the same time, WRC-TV reported.
Michael Redmond II admitted to working virtually for the Washington, D.C. School District as an assistant principal of Stephen E. Kramer Middle School, while simultaneously working in-person as principal of the E-Cubed Academy in Providence, Rhode Island, according to charges filed by the D.C. District’s ethics board.
Redmond is accused of holding both full-time jobs for more than four months, WUSA reported. He worked as an assistant principal at Kramer for the 2019-2020 school year as well as part of the 2020-2021 school year.

Redmond is accused of violating the D.C. Code of Conduct for the district, which prohibits employees from holding outside jobs, and can be penalized with thousands of dollars in fines or up to a year in prison, The Washington Post reported.
