Driver who plowed into SUV, killing 6, was traveling at 151 mph, deputies say

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Authorities in Delray Beach, Florida, have determined that the then-juvenile who rear-ended a vehicle, killing all six of its occupants, was traveling at 151 mph at the time of the crash.

Noah Galle, 18, was arrested Wednesday on six counts of vehicular homicide related to the Jan. 27 crash, WPTV reported.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Galle was driving a 2019 BMW M5 “at a high rate of speed” when he plowed into the back of a 2018 Nissan Rogue at around 11 p.m. The sheriff’s office found no evidence that he attempted to slow down or brake before impact, the TV station reported.

Gallem who suffered minor injuries and is being held at a juvenile detention center, was 17 at the time of the wreck, WPEC reported.

According to WPTV, five of the people inside the Rogue, which rolled over before coming to a stop upside down in the median, died at the scene, while the sixth victim died after being transported to an area hospital.

The crash report identified the victims as Mirlaine I. Julceus, 45; Filaine Dieu, 46; Vanice Percina, 29; and Remize Michel, Marie M. Louis and Saint L. Michel, all 53, WPEC reported.

The sheriff’s office also confirmed Wednesday that toxicology tests did not show any drugs or alcohol in Galle’s system at the time of the wreck, WPTV reported.
