Genesis Amanie Rodriguez, 22, was arrested Friday and charged with deadly conduct with a firearm, a third-degree felony; and violation of a protective order, a class A misdemeanor, according to Bexar County online booking records.

Alfonso Perez told the San Antonio Express-News that he was helping his daughter with homework late Wednesday when they heard gunshots. The next morning, Perez said he discovered one round had gone through his closet and into his son’s bedroom. It was stopped in a poster of a “Batman” comic book a few feet from where the boy was sleeping, according to the newspaper.

According to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, Rodriguez filmed herself shooting and posted it to her Instagram account.

The caption read, “My (expletive) bangs,” according to the Express-News. The woman, whose Instagram name is yourfavgennyy, discharged more than 20 rounds at passing homes.

A copy of the video was posted to Reddit and Twitter. Yourfavgennyy’s Instagram account has since been deleted, according to the newspaper.

Salazar described the incident as “a drunken act of stupidity,” KSAT-TV reported.

Because Rodriguez is under a protective order, she is not allowed to possess a firearm, according to KENS-TV.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Johnny Garcia said that multiple shell casings were spotted behind Perez’s residence, the Express-News reported.

“Later that morning, BCSO investigators learned that a video had been posted on social media of a female randomly shooting from a moving vehicle indiscriminately into a residential neighborhood, which was later confirmed to be where the shooting occurred,” Garcia said.

During a news conference, Salazar spoke out against people recklessly using a firearm.

“Those bullets go somewhere,” Salazar told reporters. “And in this case, it entered a small boy’s room.”

Rodriguez is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Oct. 11, online records show. Her bail was set at $35,000.
