LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — Authorities in Florida said a man was trying to break into a Lehigh Acres home when a window unexpectedly fell shut on him, killing him.
According to WBBH and WFTX, the incident occurred Saturday at a home on 46th Street Southwest. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrived to find Jonathan Hernandez, 32, dead after a window closed on his neck during a burglary attempt, WBBH reported.
Hernandez, a convicted felon, pleaded guilty to a charge of grand theft in 2018, according to WINK.
The investigation into his death is ongoing, authorities said.
