Upon entering the home, officers said they found bedding materials fashioned into a rope and extended out of a window, according to the Times. However, authorities suspected a ruse because the makeshift rope was tied to a lightly weighted kitchen table.
Police said they searched further in the house and found Rudd hiding inside a refrigerator, WBND reported.
Rudd was arrested and booked into the La Porte County Jail, according to online booking records. She later posted bail for $410, records show.
