Not necessarily onstage. That’s because the family will be opening a new restaurant, Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, early next year at the MGM Grand, KLAS-TV reported.

The Jonas Brothers family is opening a new restaurant, Nellie’s Southern Kitchen, in early 2022 at the MGM Grand. This will be the family’s second restaurant. The other one is located in Belmont, North Carolina, according to the restaurant’s website.

According to a news release, the family said the restaurant pays homage to their grandmother, Nellie Fox Jonas, who died on July 20, 2011. The restaurant specializes in Southern comfort food. The original Nellie’s opened in 2016 and was started by Kevin Jonas Sr. and his wife, Denise Jonas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“To open a restaurant in the heart of the iconic Las Vegas Strip is thrilling, and I know my Grandma Nellie would be truly amazed seeing her name in lights,” Kevin Jonas Sr. said in the release. “Our family loves Las Vegas. We have spent significant time in the city and are proud to invite everyone to pull up a seat and enjoy our family’s hospitality and treasured family recipes.”

Las Vegas holds a special place for the Jonases. Joe Jonas married Sophie Turner there, and the brothers nearly had a residency in April 2020 before the pandemic shut down the Las Vegas Strip, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We have incredible memories performing at MGM Grand Garden Arena, so to have Nellie’s next to it is surreal,” Joe Jonas told the website. “Las Vegas has always had a special place in our hearts, and now our connection to the city and its community will be stronger than ever.”

The brothers were not involved in the original restaurant, but that is going to change in Las Vegas.

“When we started to think about Vegas, it just seemed like the perfect time that they officially join (the business) and become a part of it,” Kevin Jonas Sr. told The Hollywood Reporter. “I can’t tell you how excited I am now to roll this into the broader Jonas family experience.”

The menu will be decidedly Southern, with warm biscuits, chicken and dumplings, pulled pork, chicken and gravy, and chicken and waffles with cinnamon honey butter, KSNV reported.

The restaurant also will feature a cocktail menu and introduce new offerings exclusive to the Las Vegas site, the television station reported.
