According to surveillance video, the incident occurred at about 7 p.m. EDT Friday night. In the video, an older-model black Hyundai sedan pulls up outside the store, and a man gets out and opens his trunk.
The man then took about 10 cushions and placed them in the trunk and back seat of the vehicle before driving away, WPIX reported.
The value of the cushions is approximately $1,050, the television station reported.
It is not the first time Murano’s Furniture has been vandalized.
In April 2020, several people broke into a box truck and removed a sectional sofa behind the store, the Staten Island Advance reported.
