The final report on the crash has yet to be released, but the National Transportation Safety Board is scheduled to release the report on Feb. 9 that will shine a light on the cause of the crash and any safety recommendations that may need to be instituted to prevent a similar incident, USA Today reported.

The hearing will be open to the public but on a virtual platform, starting at 9:30 a.m., KCBS reported.

In advance of the NTSB’s report, the panel has released interview transcripts, emails, text messages, photos, weather reports and video footage that captured the events leading up to the deadly crash.

It is believed that the pilot, Ara Zobayan, was disoriented due to heavy fog, KCBS reported.
