In a news release, the companies announced the new flavor, “Pepsi Maple Syrup Cola,” which is described as combining “the indulgent flavor profile of maple syrup with the crisp, refreshing caramel notes of a Pepsi.”

Fans won’t be able to find the new soda in stores. The drink will only be available for winners of a contest on Instagram and Twitter. People interested in trying it can upload photos or videos showing their stacks of pancakes and tagging #ShowUsYourStack, #PepsiSweepstakes and @IHOP.

The pancakes in photos do not have to come from IHOP and can be homemade or from another restaurant, CNET reported. Users do have to follow both @Pepsi on Instagram and Twitter for the duration of the contest, which runs through March 29.

“At IHOP we celebrate our history of bringing folks together and providing a sense of togetherness, belonging and joy when they dine with us,” Kieran Donahue, IHOP’s chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with Pepsi to have some fun and create a moment for our guests to bring home an additional source of happiness with this limited-edition Pepsi Maple Syrup Cola.”

The contest will award cans of the drink to 2,000 winners, and one winner will get a custom spout inspired by IHOP’s syrup pitchers.

Pepsi has previously offered limited-edition flavors combining its soda with iconic brands, such as PEPSI X PEEPS, and Pepsi x Cracker Jack.
