Tax Day 2022: What you can get for FREE today

The taxman cometh. While Americans are tallying what they owe the federal government, with some having to write some significant checks to cover the difference, you may be able to recoup some of what is paid out today with Tax Day freebies.

Several companies are easing the tax toll by handing out free products and services today.

Here’s a list of companies that are offering Tax Day freebies. Remember it is always good to check with your local locations to see if they are participating in the promotions.

The convenience store is offering a $0.11 discount per gallon for your first seven trips to the gas pump if you sign up for the 7Rewards program. The deal is for the entire month of April, according to CNET.

Bean Box Coffee

The coffee subscription company is offering their first subscription box for $4.18 if you sign up on April 18. The normal price is $24 a month, CNET reported.

Cheesecake Factory

Starting today through Thursday, you can get $10 off a $50 bill using CAKE10 at checkout when ordering through Cheesecake Factory’s website or DoorDash, according to RetailMeNot.

Firehouse Subs

Customers can get a free medium sub with the purchase of a medium or large sub, chips and drinks today.

Great American Cookies

Redeem a free chocolate chip cookie for Tax Day.

Marble Slab Creamery

Loyalty members can get a free small ice cream on Tax Day with the purchase of a regular or Best Value ice cream, CNET reported.

Office Depot

Office Depot and OfficeMax are offering free in-store shredding through April 23. Customers can get up to 5 pounds of documents shredded with a coupon.

Planet Fitness

Work out tax day frustrations with a free HydroMassage and free workout. Just make sure you fill out Planet Fitness’ form before going to the gym.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Customers can get a buy-one, get-one-free deal when ordering an original-sized sandwich from Potbelly online or through the app. You’ll need the code BOGO to redeem the offer.

Round Table Pizza

Royal Rewards members can get a $4.18 personal pizza with up to four toppings with the purchase of a large pizza.

Smokey Bones

Bones Club members get an instant $10 off today when they spend at least $25.

Southwest Airlines

Southwest is giving 1,000 bonus points when customers with a Southwest Rapid Rewards account use that account to file taxes with TurboTax.
