CLEVELAND, Tenn — A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper and his family adopted the dog he helped rescue from the extreme heat earlier this month.

Trooper Tudors pulled up a chair and stayed with the dog until she was able to trust him. Once she did, he took her to get some help, according to WBIR.
THP said on Facebook said that the dog is getting treatment at the Cleveland Animal Control.
About a week or later, Trooper Tudors and his family decided to adopt the dog, according to THP. They have named her Princess. She is still being treated but is expected to join her new family soon.
