According to the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division, the agency is monitoring the black bear population after cubs were found in DeKalb County. The cubs were fitted with microchip tags on their collars that allow officials to track their movement as they grow, AL.com reported.
The agency said that black bears were once populous in Alabama, and that the animal could be found in every county in the state.
