Introduced by a group of traditional African singers, the trailer’s opening frames alternate between images of “Wakanda’s aquatic environments, futuristic technology and what appears to be a funeral with crowds of Wakandans dressed in white,” Variety reported.

“I am Queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone,” Angela Bassett’s Ramonda declares in the trailer.

According to The Verge, actress Letitia Wright said that her and the rest of the cast and crew’s goal with “Wakanda Forever” was to honor the legacy left by the late Chadwick Boseman, who brought T’Challa to the big screen before his Aug. 18, 2020, death following a four-year battle with colon cancer.

Meanwhile, Marvel also used its massive Hall H presentation to offer first looks at “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” as well as new information about Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which will conclude with two Avengers movies in 2025: “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”

According to The Associated Press, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said during Saturday’s panel that Phase 5 will kick off in February with “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and conclude with “Thunderbolts” in July 2024. The new “Blade,” starring Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali, also got a release date of Nov. 3, 2023, and “Captain America and the New World Order,” featuring Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will be released in U.S. theaters on Nov. 11, Variety reported.
