More Than Pink Walk
More Than Pink Postponed (Susan G Komen)

ORLANDO, Fla. — In light of the recent progression of COVID-19, and Governor DeSantis’ request to postpone mass gatherings, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Susan G. Komen Florida’s More Than Pink Walk Orlando that was scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14th at Crane’s Roost Park.

While this is incredibly disappointing, the health and safety of our constituents, volunteers, sponsors, and the community as a whole remain our priority. We are continuing to monitor the situation and we remain here for the women and men touched by breast cancer who need our assistance.

The monies raised by you for the Walk support breast health programs across Central Florida including screening, diagnostic testing, treatment assistance, and more. No matter what is happening in the world, breast cancer does not stop and neither do we; as long as breast cancer is here, we are here to fight it with you.

We will be mailing you the wraps you would have received at the Walk and for those that fundraised more than $100, you will be mailed your event t-shirt. Survivor/Thriver shirts will also be mailed. We encourage you to support our sponsors during this time as they make it possible for us to do the work across this community to fight breast cancer.

If you are in need of assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at (407) 401-9000 or visit our website for assistance. For information on staying safe and limiting the spread of this virus, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/specific-groups/high-risk-complications.html.

We are grateful for your support of Susan G. Komen Florida and our work to reduce breast cancer deaths and fund research to find a cure. If you have any questions, please let us know. As soon as we have further information we will let you know.

Sincerely,

Kate Watt
