Disney Cruise Line to debut cruise ship float during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney Cruise Line announced Thursday it will debut a new float during the 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

The float will be modeled after the Disney Wish cruise ship and is called “Magic Meets the Sea.”

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, described as the world’s largest parade, will be held on Nov. 25 in New York City.

Officials said the Disney Wish is set to sail in summer 2022.

“Our new float showcases the majesty of a Disney Cruise Line vessel and features iconic design elements including a Mickey Mouse-inspired color palette, towering red funnels and an intricate filigree motif along the hull,” a Disney spokesperson said.

Officials said the float will spotlight 15 Disney characters who represent the stories and experiences on board the Disney Wish, including Captain Minnie Mouse, Cinderella, Princess Tiana, Aladdin and Jasmine.

Disney Cruise Line officials said they will share more details about the new float before the Thanksgiving celebrations begin.
