ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Long-time Orange County Tax Collector Earl K. Wood says he’ll be retiring.
In a letter sent to WFTV Channel 9 Wood said he will leave office when his current term ends in January.
Wood was elected Orange County Tax Collector in November, 1964, and took office January 1, 1965
He has been criticized recently for missing meetings, and for working only a few days a week.
Wood is 96-years-old.
