Back to school: Where can I register my student?

ORLANDO, Fla. — Counties around Central Florida are giving students and parents the option on how they’d like to navigate their district’s back-to-school plan through surveys, if applicable.

Many counties are offering between traditional in-person learning or a virtual curriculum.

You can find your student’s survey and the districts’ plan below:

Orange County

The Orange County School Board approved its back-to-school plan that gives parents three back-to-school options: face to face, Orange County Virtual School or a third innovative distance learning option that still needs state approval.

Parents and teachers had until July 27 to complete the registration or survey.

The first day of class for students was moved up to Aug. 10, with all students learning on LaunchEd.

Classes are scheduled to begin on Aug. 21.

Seminole County

Seminole County Public Schools approved a plan for the upcoming school year that would have students returning to the classrooms on Aug. 17.

Osceola County

Osceola County school officials recently approved a plan that would delay students’ return until Aug. 24.

Brevard County

Brevard County school officials approved a plan Tuesday morning that also pushed back the return to school to Aug. 24.

The county closed its survey for parents to elect on July 20.

Volusia County

Volusia County Schools voted to push the start of the school year from Aug. 17 to Aug. 31 on Tuesday evening.

Online enrollment for students ended on July 27.

Lake County

Lake County school officials approved a plan for students to return to class on Aug. 24, and teachers to return on Aug. 10.

Parents have until July 29 to make an election on how they’d like their child to return to school.

Marion County

Marion County School officials have agreed to begin face-to-face, traditional instruction no earlier than Aug. 24, according to the district website.

The deadline for parents to register their child between traditional and online courses is July 22.

Sumter County

Parents can choose how they’d like their child to return to the classroom here.

Flagler County

Flagler County school officials have not yet said when students will be returning to classrooms.
