ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies say a murder victim was found near a pond in an apartment complex Saturday morning.
The man was found near a pond in the Carlton Arms apartments on South Rio Grande Avenue shortly before 10:30 a.m. The victim's body was found by a maintenance worker for the apartment complex, deputies said.
The victim had apparently suffered a fatal gunshot wound, according to investigators.
Officials said the man has been identified, but his name won't be released until they notify his next of kin. Deputies said they do not know if the victim lived in the apartment complex.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office is investigating the murder.
