Florida lawmakers return to Tallahassee: Here’s how to watch the first session

The Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives will meet for the opening day of the 2021 regular session Tuesday.

The session begins at 9 a.m.

The state is facing an almost $3 million budget shortfall.

Last month, lawmakers unveiled a plan to start collecting sales tax on online orders, something that should bring in more than $1 billion in tax revenue.

The state also has other pressing issues, from unemployment to its natural resources, including a bill to deal with the water flow issues in the Little Wekiva.

Lawmakers will begin their 60 day session Tuesday, and by law, must pass a balanced budget.
