Police: 1 injured in shooting at Orlando apartment complex

ORLANDO, Fla. — Police were investigating a shooting Friday afternoon that injured at least one person in an Orlando apartment complex.

The scene began unfolding at the Brookside Apartment complex on Rosewood Way north of where State Road 434 intersects with Orange Blossom Trail.

Police said one person was taken into custody.

According to police, security at the complex called 911 in reference to some juveniles before gunfire rang out.

One person was hit by gunfire and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers stopped two men not far from the scene.

The men were handcuffed and put in the back of squad car to be taken in for questioning.

No other information was released.
