NEW ORLEANS — One person was killed and two others were hospitalized Monday following a three-vehicle crash in Orlando.
The crash happened on South John Young Parkway between Church Street and CR Smith Street.
The names of those involved have not been released.
The north and southbound lanes of John Young Parkway were closed as traffic homicide officers investigated the crash, but the roadway has since been reopened.
The lanes of traffic were shut down for six hours. One of the cars was barely clipped, but the other two were destroyed.
Rescue crews had to cut the roof off both vehicles to pull out the drivers.
Investigators said they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
