Arrests made in alleged Kissimmee fight club case

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Two teenagers were arrested for their alleged involvement in a Kissimmee fight club, according to police.

The fight was recorded on Feb. 6 near Kissimmee Middle School, and the video was posted on social media sites, police said.

Officers said the 14-year-old boy was arrested Thursday morning at Kissimmee Middle School and the 16-year-old boy who attends New Beginnings Education Center was arrested at his home.

Police said the teens, whose names were not released, were charged with disorderly conduct.

“It was important for the Kissimmee Police Department to make a very visible and public and arrest in this case,” said Chief Lee Massie, “We needed to make a point to the other students witnessing the arrest that participation in that type of behavior comes with serious consequences.”

The Kissimmee Police Department has also filed affidavit of prosecution summaries on two additional students.
