Man arrested in deadly triple shooting in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla — Deputies have arrested the man who allegedly shot three people, killing one of them, at a house party in Orange County early Sunday morning.

Erickson Occeus, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm, deputies said.

He was booked into the Orange County Jail Sunday afternoon.

The shooting happened during a birthday party at a home on 43rd Street near Orange Blossom Trail around 3 a.m.

Investigators said deputies were called to the home after dispatchers received several 911 calls that shots had been fired at the party.

Three men were found with gunshot wounds at the home, according to deputies. They were rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where one of the men died, deputies said. The deceased victim was identified as 24-year-old Ury David.

The birthday party was being held for David's sister, Tanar David, who told WFTV she witnessed the incident.

"It's really painful, it's something I'm going to remember every year," Tanar David said.

Many people at the party tried to take cover after shots were fired. Deputies said the other men who were shot were innocent bystanders.

"We were all hiding in a closet because we didn't want to get shot," David said.

The two surviving victims, Greeberd Louis and Ricardo Mondesir, were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies are continuing to search for the murder weapon, which they said was dropped by Occeus when he fled the scene.
