ORLANDO, Fla. — Looking to turn your next flight into a career? American Airlines is accepting applications for its 2027 flight attendant trainee classes, with Miami among its top hiring bases.
Applications are open through Oct. 18. New trainees are expected to begin earning their wings in the first half of 2027.
For Central Florida job seekers, the location matters: Miami is one of the airline’s top hiring bases — not Orlando. Other top bases include Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth and Chicago.
The airline is seeking candidates focused on safety and customer service who are prepared for the demands of the job. American says it is sharing the steps of its interview process in advance and giving applicants a clearer picture of the role before they apply.
American currently has more than 30,000 flight attendants based at 10 locations across the United States.
