Bicyclist dies after colliding with truck in Orange County, troopers say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A bicyclist died after he collided with a truck in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Just after midnight, a truck hauling a trailer was traveling westbound on Maitland Boulevard in the right lane, troopers said.

Troopers said the bicyclist was traveling southbound on Bear Lake Road when he entered the intersection on a red light and collided with the right side of the truck.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The crash remains under investigation.
