GROVELAND, Fla. — A water outage is impacting the northern end of Groveland Wednesday morning after all pumps at the city’s Sunshine Water Plant went offline, city officials said.
According to the City of Groveland, the pumps went offline at approximately 5:07 a.m. Plant staff is on site working to restart the pumps while the cause of the failure is investigated.
The loss of pressure along the Wilson Lake corridor has triggered a boil water advisory for affected areas.
The city said the specific neighborhoods impacted by the advisory are still being identified and will be announced as more information becomes available.
The city first reported the water outage at approximately 5:55 a.m., saying crews were responding to the issue and working to determine the cause.
Residents in the affected area should watch for additional updates from the City of Groveland regarding the boil water advisory and restoration of service.
