Brevard County government facilities reopen, public asked to follow CDC guidelines

VIERA, Fla. — Brevard County government facilities are once again open to the public, but it's not exactly business as usual.

For the first time in weeks, most Brevard County facilities are open to the public.

County officials said different departments are taking different precautions, including adding plexiglass partitions to protect employees as well as the public.

Online service options are still available. But, if you need assistance in person at public works, utility services, planning and development, or housing and human services, you're asked to make an appointment.

“Every department has its own set of rules, whether you have to have an appointment only, whether you need to wear or mask, or if the doors are open and you can walk-in,” Brevard County communications director Don Walker said.
