BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A woman who braved Tropical Storm Nicole while in labor is spending Friday morning with her baby boy.

Elissa Kissell gave birth to her son Asher early Thursday morning.

She was scheduled to undergo a cesarean section to give birth next week.

However, her contractions started getting stronger and stronger Wednesday night.
Her husband drove through strong winds, to get her to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Brevard County.

Mom and baby are both doing well.
