TITUSVILLE, Fla. — A caregiver is behind bars, charged in connection with the death of an elderly disabled man in his care.
Titusville police said they were called to a house on the 1000 block of Kennedy Court around 11:45 a.m. on Friday for a wellbeing check.

When officers arrived at the location, they found the victim dead in an advanced state of decomposition.
Police said John Edward Dietsch lived in the home and was the sole caregiver for the victim.

Dietsch, 56, of Titusville was charged with felony abuse of a disabled adult.
This is an ongoing investigation.
