CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX is targeting an 11:10 a.m. Thursday launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to send four astronauts to the International Space Station.
NASA’s SpaceX Crew-13 mission will lift off aboard a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 40. The weather is currently 60% favorable for launch.
When to watch
NASA’s launch coverage begins at 9:20 a.m. on NASA+. SpaceX is expected to begin its webcast about an hour before liftoff on the company’s official X channel.
9:20 a.m.: NASA+ coverage begins
11:10 a.m.: Targeted Falcon 9 liftoff
5:20 p.m.: NASA begins arrival coverage
7 p.m.: Targeted docking at the space station
A backup launch opportunity is scheduled for 10:47 a.m. on Friday if needed. The Kennedy Space Center Newsroom YouTube channel will also carry a continuous view of the launch pad.
Fast trip to the ISS
Crew Dragon is targeting a docking less than eight hours after launch — about 7 hours and 50 minutes — which would be the fastest U.S. spacecraft rendezvous with the space station.
The long-duration crew will conduct research on human health in space, including studies involving Parkinson’s and heart disease, blood-flow changes in microgravity, food production and medical equipment for future Moon and Mars missions.
