Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex updates mask policy

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. — Face coverings are now optional for fully vaccinated guests at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The change went into effect Friday, one day after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released data showing that Brevard County, where the attraction is located, is listed as low risk for COVID-19 community spread.

Park officials said visitors who are not vaccinated are still encouraged to wear masks indoors.

“As always, the health and safety of employees and guests is the highest priority for Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex,” officials said.

Masks are still strongly recommended in indoor venues and on buses.
