BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Titusville woman is accused of killing a child she was fostering.
Lakeisha Mitchell was arrested last month and has now been charged with murder.

Titusville police said Mitchell told them she thought the child was faking being unconscious, so she placed her in a full bathtub and walked away.
Police said when Mitchell came back, the girl’s face was underwater.

Hospital workers told police they also found serious injuries on the child’s body.
Mitchell also faces a charge of child neglect with great bodily harm.
