Thursday marks two years since the murder of a Titusville man, and his family is still waiting for an arrest.
“We need help. We need this case solved, somebody arrested,” said Brenda Mayor, Butler’s aunt.
Two years ago, Tony Butler’s body was discovered in a burning vehicle in a wooded area on Bethune Avenue in Mims.
Butler’s death was ruled a homicide but no one has been arrested for the crime.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Butler’s case is progressing. The agency considers the case open and active.
“It’s so sad. We couldn’t say our goodbyes because they burned him up, and that’s sad, and that’s going to be a brand on us forever,” Mayo said.
Mayo said she won’t stop pushing for justice for her nephew.
“You know, I don’t wish nothing on nobody, but I wish somebody would come forth and help us out,” she said.
