BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Domenico Gigante pleaded guilty Thursday to killing four people inside a Canaveral Groves home in 2023, including his 15-year-old daughter.
Gigante, 40, acted as his own attorney and admitted to the March 1, 2023, shooting deaths of 15-year-old Kiarra Terwilliger, 35-year-old Constance Terwilliger, 63-year-old Glenda Terwilliger, and 36-year-old Michael Watson.
During the hearing, Gigante acknowledged the crime was “cold, calculated, and cruel” and waived his right to have a jury help decide his sentence.
Brevard-Seminole State Attorney William Scheiner said Gigante entered the home on Alan Shepard Avenue and shot the four victims before leaving two young boys alive inside.
The state will continue to seek the death penalty. A judge will ultimately decide whether Gigante is sentenced to death or spends the rest of his life in prison.
