ORLANDO, Fla. — Brightline has resumed passenger rail service between South Florida and Orlando following flooding earlier this week in Brevard County.
The service restoration comes as the Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando music festival begins Friday at Tinker Field in Orlando.
To accommodate festivalgoers, Brightline has partnered with EDC Orlando to offer up to 15% off eligible SMART fares for travel between South Florida and Orlando. The promotional travel window applies to train trips taken between Nov. 5 and Nov. 9.
Travelers can board Brightline trains at stations in Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach for direct travel to Orlando. From the Brightline Orlando Station, passengers can take a short rideshare trip to the festival grounds at Tinker Field.
Attendees can receive up to 15% off eligible SMART fares by booking travel through the EDC Orlando website, with no advance purchase required.
Brightline is also offering separate discounts for other travelers, including up to 25% off eligible SMART SAVER and SMART SELECT fares for groups of three or more, as well as up to 25% off eligible fares for college students using a valid .edu email address.
The music festival runs through Sunday, Nov. 8, with promotional travel fares available for train trips through Monday, Nov. 9.
