WINTER PARK, Fla. — Several buildings at Rollins College were evacuated because of a gas leak Wednesday morning, according to Winter Park police.
Authorities said seven buildings were evacuated after a construction crew broke a gas line.
The crew was working near the Bush Science Center building, which is undergoing renovation, when they struck the gas line.
According to officials, three of the buildings have been reopened but four were still closed at noon while crews worked to contain the leak.
About 175 people were forced to evacuate, officials said.
School officials said there are few students on campus because the school is on break this week.
